These studs are a direct fit so you wont need to machine the block or remove the head. The studs can even replace the cylinder head bolts on your existing engine and will increase the head clamping required to suit performance applications. They will achieve a more evenly distributed and accurate torque load compared to that of head bolts by eliminating the twisting force created during tightening. This ultimately translates into higher reliability and a lower chance of head gasket failure and allowing the engine to hold more boost reliably.
